Climbing Sigiriya, safari in Yala National Park, whale watching from Mirissa, the Kandy–Ella scenic train, and Galle Fort are consistently rated the top Sri Lanka experiences.

Most can be combined into a 10–14 day itinerary, though whale watching and safari sightings depend on season`, we sequence your trip to maximise the chances of both.

Blue whale sightings off Mirissa are most reliable from November to April. The rest of the year you could potentially have sightings but the ocean is choppy.

Yes. Climbing at sunrise, before the site gets busy, is the best way to beat both the crowds and the midday heat, and it’s how we schedule this experience for our guests.

Located in Kandy, it houses a relic believed to be a tooth of the Buddha and is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the world, drawing pilgrims and visitors alike.

We recommend 6–9 months ahead, especially if your trip includes peak-season experiences like whale watching or hill country visits during the dry season.
